IMPORTANT SWIM UPDATE

We have once again had a tremendous response from swimmers registering for the 2024 Swim Marathon on August 3rd. Registration for this year’s event will close at midnight on Sunday, June 30th for new team relays and solo swimmers. 

The Swim Across the Sound relies on recruiting approximately 100+ boat captains who donate their boat, gas and time to act as swimmer escorts or perimeter boats. Assignments of escort boats are based on the team registration date (first-come, first-assigned basis) unless the escort boat has registered for and requested a specific team.  We encourage our swimmers to recruit their own escort boat captain to secure their spot in the event. 

With the Swim less than a month and half away, we cannot guarantee we can provide an escort boat to any new teams at this time and strongly suggest you ensure your participation by recruiting an escort boat. Escort boats must be the correct “person” capacity to take a team.  Should a team only have access to a smaller boat, please recruit that boat captain to participate as a perimeter boat.  This may relieve a larger perimeter boat to take a team.
