History
We have been entrusted with the Daughters of Charity’s mission to serve this community. Today, we invite you to help us insure that mission lives in perpetuity. The Daughters of Charity first came to Bridgeport, CT, in 1905. When the first seven sisters arrived they accepted the responsibility of running the new St. Vincent’s Hospital. In 2014 the last five Daughters of Charity departed. In a ceremony on May 19th of that year, they passed the flame to the lay leadership, embodied both in a Torchbearer statue enshrined in our President’s boardroom, and in spirit.
Today
The Torchbearers Legacy Society honors donors who have made the ultimate gift by recognizing St. Vincent’s Medical Center in their wills, trusts, and estate plans. Members of the Torchbearers Society enjoy special benefits, including:

Invitations to an annual appreciate event
Lectures from medical staff
The satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to our long-term prosperity

When individuals include St. Vincent’s Medical Center in their estate plans, they help to ensure that we can continue our mission for years to come. We invite you to join today!

Yes, I Want to Help!
As a dedicated friend of St. Vincent’s Medical Center, I/we wish to join the many individuals who are committed to the hospital’s mission. I would like to learn more about how I declare my intention to help provide for the future of the hospital with a gift included in my estate or financial plans.
